The Pregnancy Resource Center Announces $1.1 Million Fundraising Campaign

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., Nov. 18, 2010 – The Pregnancy Resource Center is beginning a $1.1 million fundraising campaign aimed at expanding key programs and opening a satellite office in response to increased need in the Greater Grand Rapids community.

The programs benefitting from the campaign are family/material support, education and medical services. Facility improvements, additional and enhanced education programs, and expanded hours are among the key changes.

The campaign will also provide for the opening of a satellite office in Kentwood that will offer services to an under-served community.

“We are thrilled about this expansion. The funds raised will allow us to increase the quality and depth of our programs while also adding crucial services in the Kentwood area,” says Jim Sprague, executive director of the Pregnancy Resource Center.

The fundraising campaign was announced at the PRC’s November 4 fundraising Gala and was bolstered by early support from key community donors that included a matching-gift challenge at the event. The announcement of this expansion plan signifies the beginning of the public phase of this campaign. Lead gifts have provided a start to the $1.1 million dollar goal. Gifts of all sizes will gratefully be received toward this expansion.
