The Truth About Abstinence Education

It seems that a month doesn’t go by before I hear media talk about how “abstinence only” programs do not work. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

When doesn’t giving teenagers a standard to live by work? When doesn’t wanting the best for teens work? When doesn’t telling teens that sex is physical, but also relational, emotional, spiritual work? When doesn’t telling teens that sex was designed for the commitment of marriage work?

The Abstinence only program called Willing to Wait ^TM is designed to give teens the Biblical standard of marriage for sexual activity. Willing to Wait ^TM teaches abstinence-only skills that protect teens from unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, this program teaches teens how to handle cultural pressures.
