A Serious Challenge: Teens and Young Adults have Highest STD Infection Rates

Many in our community are suffering from the lie that sex is recreational. They are suffering the results of this lie through emotional, spiritual, and physical damage.

None are more vulnerable to these lies than our young people. Teen and young adults have the highest STD infection rate in the U.S., with 50% of all newly diagnosed STDs!* Not only that, but research tells us that teen sex can damage self-esteem, erode optimism, and spoil the quality of future intimate relationships.**

Since 1995, the PRC has empowered teens to make healthy decisions with our eight-session abstinence program called Willing to Wait™. This past school year, more than 3,000 Willing to Wait™ students pledged to wait to have sex until they marry! Now that’s making a difference!
