Do you know who Abby Johnson is? She was Employee of the Year in 2008 at the Planned Parenthood of Bryan, TX, and its director. She grew up in a Christian home and was told abortion was wrong, but got sucked into the lies of that organization as a college student. She began volunteering and eventually became the director.
Her book, Unplanned, is the story of her journey to the life side; and it’s really incredible. God is using her to reveal the goings-on in abortion clinics. In fact, Planned Parenthood in Bryan tried to slap a gag order on her so she couldn’t tell about her experiences there, but the judge threw their case out of court. The book came out the next week, and it’s amazing.
God is on the move and this monster is going to fall! But in order to make abortion unthinkable, it has to first become unthinkable in the Church; and for that to happen, we have to talk about it in the Church.
Does your church proclaim a reverence for life, and forgiveness for sin – even abortion – in Christ? I sincerely hope so.
